How I work

Every project follows the same clear sequence - so you always know where things stand, what happens next, and what you're getting before any work begins.

  • We start with a conversation - by email or a short call, whichever suits you. The goal isn't to talk about dashboards. It's to understand the decisions you're making, the questions you can't currently answer, and what a useful view of your business would actually look like.

This shapes everything that follows. A dashboard built around the right questions is useful. One built around the wrong ones isn't - however well it's designed. This ensures the dashboard is designed around real business needs, not just charts or metrics for their own sake.

  • Once I understand what you need, I'll confirm exactly what the dashboard will include, what questions it will answer, how it will be delivered, and the fixed cost for the work.

Nothing starts until you're happy with the scope and the price. There are no hourly rates, no scope creep, and no invoice surprises. You know what you're getting before you commit to anything.

  • Once the scope is agreed, I'll review whatever data you have. You don't need a perfect dataset or a complex setup - most businesses are working with something messier than they'd like, and that's fine.

I'll let you know what's workable, what can be improved, and what's realistically achievable. If anything changes the scope or the price at this stage, I'll tell you before proceeding.

  • I build the dashboard and share it with you for review before it's finalised. This isn't a formality - it's a genuine checkpoint to make sure it answers your original questions, feels right to use, and reflects how you think about your business.

Minor refinements are part of the process. The goal is a dashboard that actually fits, not one that's technically complete but doesn't quite work for the people using it.

  • Once you're happy, the dashboard is delivered and set up for use. I'll walk you through how to read it, how to share it with the right people, and how to keep it updated as your data changes.

The aim is for you to leave the handover feeling confident - not dependent on me to explain it every time someone has a question.

What You Get

At the end of every project, you have a clear, professional dashboard that shows you what matters - built around your questions, your data, and the way you run your business.

No spreadsheet wrestling. No chasing numbers across systems. No uncertainty about which figure is right.

Just a reliable view of your business, ready when you need it.
